is now emerging of women's involvement in politics in Wales and beyond. The presence of the group in north Wales adds something to our understanding of politics in the area in the inter-war period and establishes that a tradition of women's political involvement existed in the twentieth century. Historians of peace in Britain have recognized the importance of the group's activity in the wider women's peace movement, but despite the range and quality of the writings on the peace movement in Wales, its significance has been overlooked.
